Lunch Suggestions: 1.) Bowl of soup and rice cakes; 2.) Tuna (packed in water, not oil) sandwich; 3.) Large vegetable salad with lemon juice or vinegar and pepper as a dressing; 4.) Mixed fruit salad; 5.) Grilled mozzarella cheese sandwich on whole grain bread; 6.) Whole grain pasta with marinara sauce; 7.) Four medium pieces of fruit; 8.) 1-2 scoops of Vitamin-Mineral Shake.
Snack Suggestions: Suggested snacks are fruit or fresh vegetables. Sometimes air-popped popcorn with or without seasonings, but with little butter or oil. If you must, eat one or two small cookies or pieces of chocolate in a week, though dried fruit is better. Eat fresh vegetables if you are hungry between meals, but many people will do better by getting out of the snacking habit.
Beverage Suggestions: Unsweetened lemonade, herb teas, ‘V8’ juice, unsweetened fruit juices (sparingly), one 4 oz glass of unsweetened prune juice per day. It is important to drink 8 or more glasses of water each day. Sipping a glass of water containing 2 teaspoons of organic apple cider with each meal will help decrease your appetite and digest your food.
